How To Dispose Of

We read everything. Corrections are especially welcome — disposal rules change constantly and we rely partly on readers to tell us when something's out of date.

What to contact us about

Corrections

If a fee has changed, a programme has ended, a retailer has altered its policy, or we've simply got something wrong, please tell us. Specifics help enormously — the page, the claim, and what it should say instead.

If you work at a transfer station, a recycling facility, a scrap yard or a removal company, your corrections are worth more than anything we can research from a desk. We'll credit expertise where it's useful to readers.

Suggesting an item we haven't covered

If you couldn't find how to get rid of something, that's a gap worth knowing about. Tell us what you were trying to dispose of and we'll look at adding it.

Local rules we've missed

Municipal collection varies enormously and we can't know every city's rules. If your area does something notably different — a wrapping requirement, an unusual bulk pickup limit, a free programme most places don't have — we'd like to hear about it.

Facility listings

We're building a database of disposal facilities and their fees. If you operate one and want your details included or corrected, get in touch. Listings are free and we don't sell placement.

Press and general enquiries

Same address. Please put "Press" in the subject line.

What we can't help with

We're an information site, not a disposal service. We can't:

Advertising and partnerships

For advertising enquiries, email the address above with "Business" in the subject line.

One thing worth stating up front: we don't accept payment to change what a guide recommends. If the cheapest route for a reader is free, that's what the page will say regardless of who's advertising on it.
